The Maha Kumbh happens every 144 years and is the culmination of 12 ordinary Kumbh Mela’s. According to ancient mythology of India, the planets align every 12 years creating a unique energy of one of four sacred locations in India. The Kumbh Mela is held in Haridwar, North India, the foothills of the Himalayas from January 2010. It is the most ancient spiritual yogic festival in the world. When the planet Jupiter enters the sign of Aquarius and the Sun enters into Aries. Millions come together for holy bathing rituals and to receive blessings from the saints and sages who rarely leave their Himalayan caves yet attend this event.
